The Staff Break Room is exactly what it is called, though it's more a ball room than just a room. This is where the guards, doctors, nurses, and even cafeteria folk go to hang out when not attending to the patients. It's one of the nicer and more normal looking places in the Asylum and has all the classic treats such as coffee. There's even a billiards table and a dart board. Take note that they do not sleep here. And more importantly, NO INMATES ARE ALLOWED INSIDE. Any inmate found in the Break Room is automatically sentenced to execution. Rules- You CAN use colored text to have certain characters stand out from the rest. This is the ONLY thread you can do this with the staff members.
- Only Guards, Nurses, and random Staff are free to use. Doctors are not. Guards like Raptor, Esther, Mackenzie, Miria, Gorgon etc. are open to free use. Guards of certain inmates (Oberon, Ryu, Vann, Prion, etc.) you must have permission to use first.
- Make sure to include the staff member you use in the title in order to keep track of who exactly you're using.

The look on his face made it clear to every other guard in the break room that Oberon wasn't happy. The fairy came storming out of the elevator looking as if he was ready to kill someone. And he just might if they weren't careful with their words. Taking a seat at a table by one of the windows, Esther, the guard from the female baths, joined him.
"Rough day, Oberon?" asked Esther, the dragon guard passing Oberon a cup of coffee in hopes of calming him down. "Is it Puck again? I've told you, dump that little Sandman and move up to Block C or something." She snarled.
"It's not that...Well not entirely that" Oberon mumbled, taking the coffee and giving it a sip. He slowly relaxed as the bitter fluid ran down his throat before talking. "I had to attend a meeting with Cerberus."
"Ooooh, that explains it. What he'd say this time?"
"Did he tell you to finally give that sandman what he rightfully deserves?" Raptor grinned, joining in on the conversation.
"I wouldn't be pissed off right now if he did that." Oberon smirked, but it quickly disappeared. "He was ticked about the Siren from Block D killing Kai. The troll was one of his more favored guards."
"He was in Block D for a reason, man." Raptor said as Oberon continued to drink his coffee. "Anyway, I don't know why he called me to yell at. That's not my Block-"
"Probably because you're more competent than the rest of us? I mean, everyone has a reason for being assigned to someone. In your case, you got the most annoying bastard in this whole place because you have this 'natural authority' about you." Esther interrupted, "I bet that's why your name means King of the Fairies."
"It doesn't mean that, it is a name of a fairy king. Anyway, he should have called that Prion if he needed to bust anyone for what happened."
Raptor titled his head, "Prion? You mean that...Fairy?" Esther sighed and corrected Raptor. "Oread, it's a type of nymph. You could say he's a distant relative of a fairy. I never liked him, always rubbed me off as a pushover."
"Exactly, a guard like that doesn't belong on Block D, or this Asylum for that matter. Not with these patients running around. He even allows the Siren to leave her cell. I caught them today in Block B talking to Puck and his new 'play toys.'"
"Oh boy, we don't need that, do we? Of course, maybe she'll get rid of the guy for us- I mean, pervs like him are more susceptible to a Siren's song!"
"You'd think that, but..." Oberon looked out the window, taking in the view of the ocean under the moonlight. "...I don't want to think about it too much, but I guess Puck's just immune."
Any staff member can pop in now and join in on the fun!

Liz wandered in, stretching as she walked. Now that her cousin was going off to sleep, she could finally relax a bit.
"Hello everyone, how were your shifts?" She looked over at Oberon, noticing the tension in his entire body. "Is Puck stirring up trouble again, Oberon?"
"Nah, he's pissed because Cerberus is mad at him for letting that Block D Siren roam around on Block B." Esther spoke up, rolling her eyes. "He seems to think its Oberon's fault, instead of that Siren's own incompetent guard."
"Oh, you mean Prion? He used to be a Block A guard, right? I always thought it was strange that they promoted him like that..." Liz shrugged, scratching behind one of her large ears. "He'll probably get himself killed soon though. I've heard that Siren has a pretty nasty split personality, complete with a transformation. Almost like Jeckyll and Hyde."
"Oh yeah, I heard about that too! Damn, that's gotta be some freaky shit to see." Raptor leaned in, shaking his head.
"Hey, you're an Imp, right? Do you know that new Gremlin on Block B? Cuz I just know she's gonna be a total pain in the ass." Esther snarled, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Ah, Meela. Yes, I ended up accompanying her to Dr. Somnus after she managed to get herself skewered by the Snow Woman from the same Block." Liz sighed, shrugging. "I suppose I'll have to be keeping an eye on her now, especially given her criminal track record." She looked over at Oberon.
"What are your thoughts on her, Oberon? She's right next door to your charge too, correct?"

Habhara hobbled in, and without a word, crashed on the couch.
(this is the single greatest triple alliteration I have ever written)

"Meela's okay I guess, as far as new inmates go. She seems to have grown fond of using Puck's new Cellmate as her personal seat though. I already gave her a warning not to sneak out of her cell like that, but I doubt she'll listen." Oberon sighed, sipping his coffee.
"You seem to always get the rascally inmates, huh, bro?" Raptor snickered, patting Oberon hard on the back, prompting the fairy to choke on his drink.
"Hey, hey, hey- don't kill the guy! If you do, Cerberus will have your wings!" Esther warned, rubbing Oberon's back. "Worse," Raptor shivered, "he'll have my head. And my tail too, for good measure. But no worries, it'll take more than that to kill our King of the Fairies."
"Please don't call me that." Oberon groaned as he recovered from his little incident. "It makes it sound like I actually have control."
"You are considered the leader of Block B guards, my friend. At least, I do, you're just that good, you know?" Esther smiled, showing her teeth. Raptor snickered, "You liiiiike him." The remark earned him a slap from the female dragon's tail. "Say something like that again and I'll hit you!"
"You already hit me!"
"Someone like you deserves to be hit twice!"
Oberon sighed and let his friends banter. He noticed Habhara plop down on one of the couches, looking just as tired as he was. Needing some peace and quiet, Oberon decided to join him. "You want to join me at the couch, Liz? These two will be at it for a while." Not really waiting for a response, Oberon walked over to the couch to join the Garuda.
"Hello, Habhara," he greeted "you look more tired than usual."

(I gotta say, that immediately made me think of King of the Booooterflies, which you might get if you read SCP)
Vann entered the break room, trusty violin in tow, and promptly proceeded to ignore everyone in favor of the elixir called coffee. While it wasn't the best, it certainly tasted better after he added some honey he'd grabbed in the cafeteria earlier.

"Hi Oberon," Habhara replied, muffled since his face was in the couch. He shifted himself to a sitting position, careful not to lean back on his wings, visibly droopy from exhaustion. "Everyone else has annoying inmates yet here I am more tired than them all, and mine practically takes care of himself. I've had to spend countless hours getting everything ready with..." He'd rather not broach the subject, which he had wanted to keep a secret from Moortimier and the other guards. "Not to mention I've been sleeping worse and worse. I think there are a couple poltergeists keeping me up."

"I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. The cleansing circles drawn around the walls can only do so much in keeping those things out." Oberon said as he took a seat next to Habhara. Crossing his legs and arms, Oberon leaned back against the couch to stare up at the bright chandeliers. Everything else in the Asylum looked like hell, so a place like the Break Room always helped in calming tension among the guards.
"Your inmate is Moortimier, the tree Golem from the Pit, correct? Puck talks nonstop about him. Sometimes I wish some of that stoic personality from your inmate would rub off on mine. His new cellmate isn't too bad, thankfully. I just hope Puck doesn't drive him over the edge like the other two." Oberon sat back up and pinched the bridge of his nose in order to sooth himself. "I still have to sign out all those written complaints about Puck too. Can you believe he went to Block C and irritated the hell hounds again? I swear, if Cerberus didn't give him immunity from punishment...

"Can't you do something about that though?" Habhara asked. "I mean, can't Cerberus just find someone else to fill in for Puck while he gets offed once and for all? I doubt he's that important."

"You would think it would be that easy, since Puck's not the only sandman in the world. But apparently he's the only sandman bad enough to be put in this place. He's that crazy." Oberon said, "I don't know. Cerberus did say those weren't his words, those were the Asylum Head's. And none of us want to deal with him. Whatever he says goes, after all."
"You are ignoring how valuable Puck really is," said a voice from above. Oberon sat up from his seat and looked around. He was about to reach for his sword before an Owlman flew down and landed right in front of the couch. "Damn it, Bubo, don't do that. I'm not exactly in the mood for games today." Oberon frowned, regaining his composure. Bubo merely tilted his head back and forth, his large eyes staring at Oberon.
"Do you understand the lifestyles of Sandmen, Oberon?"
Oberon raised a brow. "With my experience with Puck, all I know is that they were made for stealth and they cannot die."
"That's only the basics. Do you understand anything else?"
"No, and I don't care to. What Puck's kind does is none of my business. Now get moving, you have night duty outside." Oberon ordered with a huff, plopping himself back on the couch.
"Poor, poor Oberon. If only you knew. If only you knew." Bubo chanted before he made his way to a window, opened it and flew outside to the darkness below. "Someone close the window!" Someone shouted over the talking of other guards.
Oberon just sighed, "Even the guards in this place are out of their mind."

Liz perched on the arm of the couch, not wanting to disturb the weary Garuda. "It is very odd that Puck has immunity. You'd think that with all the trouble he causes, he would at least get attacked by some of the inmates..." She shrugged, tracing the stitching of the couch with a fingernail. "Would you like some tea, Habhara? I managed to get some nice herbs imported for my own stock; it might help you sleep." __________

Oberon watched his fellow guards around the large ballroom. It was quite a surprise that such a beautiful and spacious room was offered to the guards. Though it could be the Asylum Head's way of paying them back for the whit they had to go through. Oberon pinched the bridge of his nose before standing up.
"You going already, Oberon?" asked Esther, who approached him while dragging Raptor by his tail. "Yeah, it is getting late and I want to get at least an hour of sleep before dealing with all the paper work." Oberon said as he started walking. He waved to his friends before walking into the elevator and heading for the Guard's sleeping quarters. Oberon let out another sigh as his mind started to wander.
'Why is it that I feel more uneasy than usual? This isn't like me...'

Hours passed by. For once in a while, the entire Asylum is quiet, minus the snarls of the Hellhounds and the night guards standing watch both inside and out of the building.
NIGHT OF DAY 2: END
You may all now return to the main storyline! All inmates must be awake by 6 AM. Jobs will be assigned to inmates in Cell A, B, and C by their guards after they are done eating/showering. These jobs MUST be done and your character will be assigned to different threads.

When the announcement filled the Staff Lounge, Oberon took his eyes off his paperwork after what might have been hours. After the whole incident with the Cyclops, Oberon was scolded by Campe. She didn't scold him for the murder of one of her inmates, but for giving her more paperwork to do. The creatures in the Asylum were called inmates, but they're really patients and they do have families after all.
So Oberon not only had Puck and Shard's paperwork to sort out, but also the apology letters and dismissal reports of the cyclops that Campe dumped on him.
Simply put, he wasn't a happy camper at the moment.
Oberon let out a sigh, tipping back into his chair and putting his hat over his face, as if trying to hide the fact he's exhausted. Esther was seated on his right and Raptor to his left, and both guards could only stare.
"...It's okay, Oberon, it's not like they're due anytime soon, right?" Esther said, attempting to comfort the fairy. Oberon let out a grunt as he put his hat back on and stood up so fast, the table shook and papers fell to the floor.
"Cerberus wants Shard all settled and done with by the end of the day, Campe will have my ass if I don't get this whole cyclops deal done by morning, and I swear Puck's getting so many complaints they might as well remain the 'File a Complaint' paperwork: 'Write what you hate about that damn sandman!'"
Oberon was so loud that not only did his friends stare, but the other guards in the lounge as well. Being one of the Head Guards in the Asylum, no one dared cross him when he was in a crabby mood so everyone stayed silent.
Letting out a sigh, Oberon picked up his sheathed swords form the side of his chair and slipped them back into his belt. "Let us go, Esther, I'm sure our inmates are awaiting us. Raptor, please watch my work while I'm gone."
"Um-s-sure?" Esther stuttered, slowly standing up. Raptor noticed the distress in her eyes and sighed before mumbling "Make sure he doesn't kill anyone, 'kay?"
