Three months. That's how long it's been since Roxanne decided to fly on her own whims. That's how long she's been a drifter. In that time she's taken down four criminals in the name of her vengeance against those who took from her the sister she loved. Today marks five.
Ten days ago she was chasing rumors. Seven days ago she was chasing stories. Three days ago she caught the trail. Today she stood at the outskirts of a small camp of tents in the wasteland.
The camp was the home base of a small group of raiders led by a man named Alan Santiago. He was only a minor prize, of course. The real prize was information on the whereabouts of one of the big drifter bosses in the region. Santiago knew where her next target would hit, and Roxanne intended to learn what he knew.
First things first. Between her and the camp sat two of Santiago's men, lookouts.
And the tale of the drifter named Roxanne d'Artagnan begins.

Roxanne looked over at the camp, hiding in the shadows behind a nearby tree. Hmph, well she certainly wasn't giving out any prizes for intelligence. The two lookouts were merrily chatting away, only briefly glancing out and doing their jobs. Clearly, they weren't expecting an attack in broad daylight. She could use that to her advantage. She would just slip down alongside one of the tents, using that as cover so she could sneak up behind them and quickly slit their throats with her rapier. It'd be messy, but it was the quietest way to go.
She silently moved around to the other side of the tree and headed toward the tent adjacent from the lookouts. So the hunt began once more.
(Um... Now what do I do?)

So you're going to try and sneak attack them in broad daylight?

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!!!!!
But sure, why not. No one would expect that, right? And it's not like she has any other options... Well I guess she could talk to them, but that never works.

Well you basically control your character's actions, I control the world. Alright, sneaking up on the two guys? Roll me...3d6. Unless you feel like doing something else. It's really up to you. www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm

Okay, you lost the roll by 2 degrees. Roxanne might have succeeded in her attack if she were shrouded by the cover of night, but the noon day sun worked against her. She was spotted by the lookouts, but she'd managed to close the distance slightly. The two raiders drew their pistols as the sword maiden entered their sight. COMBAT START Combat TutorialYou are now in combat. Your character sprite is the one sent to you and listed on your profile. In this instance, you are on the left. The strapping young lads on the right are the raider lookouts. You are faster than them, so you move first. Combat is done in a left-right 2d style. This means that those two punks are currently listed as the same distance away from you. Each box on the ground represents one meter. Your movement range is listed on your profile, at this point you can move 8m per round at full dash. Moving more than half your full move and then attacking makes your attack a 'charging strike', which has decreased accuracy but hits for more damage (only melee weapons get extra damage). You are currently 6m away from those fellows, meaning that your first attack will be a charging attack if you strike on your first move. Normally you can run away, but if you do in this case you will not get the lead you need and will not make it to the first mission of the campaign. That would prove problematic. I'll calculate everything for you, just choose what you want to do and I'll fill in the details. Good luck! End Tutorial

Squeeeeeeee!!! I love the 2D battle thing!!!! Okay squeeing aside...
Roxanne snarls as she's spotted. Damnit, should have figured luck would be against her now. Looks like she'll have to face them head on. She draws her blade and charges toward the rogue straight in front of her, only to shift to her right and attack the other rogue at the last minute.
(so basically... X's represent her movement pattern)
Roxanne [X][X][X][X][X][...]Rogue 1 .........[...][...][...][...][X][X]Rogue 2
(Or is that not allowed?)
