Name: Dennis "Den" Hulsbos
Appearance: Tall (6'3"), spiky white-blonde hair, light blue eyes. Very average build, but is in surprisingly good shape for a cook.
Title: Best Cook
Age: 16
Ethnicity: Dutch
Talents: Can make almost any food taste good, surprising resistance to heat, very good knife skills, can put almost anyone at ease.
Achievements: The youngest chef ever to own a five-star restaurant, had published four cookbooks by the time he turned twelve, has been a guest chef on several cooking programs. Also, he has five world-class restaurants in Amsterdam, Paris, New York, London, and Dubai.
Weaknesses: Tends to space out very easily, has a horrible short-term memory, is incredibly disorganized, and can't bear to see a girl cry.
3 Words to Describe Personality: Easygoing, disorganized, spacey.
Likes: Food, traveling, cooking, girls, French music, fishing.
Dislikes: Critics, egotistical people, jetlag, Bollywood music, spicy things.
Brief History: Den has always had a passion for food. Growing up in Loesdrecht, right on the lake, he would often go fishing and help his mom, a chef herself, prepare whatever he managed to catch for dinner. After discovering his talent for the culinary arts, Den would always try to find his way into the kitchen of whatever restaurant was nearby and learn all he could. He eventually ended up studying under some of the top chefs in Europe, become successful himself and opening up his own restaurant in Amsterdam, "Huis en Haard", or "Hearth and Home". He would go on to open four other restaurants around the world, and received his invitation to Magnum Academy at a banquet being held to honor Huis en Haard earning five stars.
Additional Information/Fun Facts: Den absolutely tries to avoid cooking with snails as much as he can, finding it creepy as hell. Also, he has a number of scars across both his hands from when he's spaced out while cutting various ingredients.
As a personal fun side-note, Den is actually based off of my cousin Denny, who is a great chef in his own right.
