So $6. Sweet, wait to give me that money after SNAFU con in Reno is over. Or when I get some pictures done first.
I'm seriously just itching to draw Kurloz. I just adore his skeleton outfit and stitched mouth xDD

Holy shit he updated twice today. With like five panels each time but damn I don't know anyone who updates twice in a day.

Oh wow, SNAFU Con here in Reno was riffled with Homestuck cosplayers! Gio (one of the members here who's been really busy lately) dressed up as Dad! And his two friends were Jane and God Tier John, so they were the Egbert family. And there was also a random God Tier Vriska popping in claiming to be Dad's "future daughter-in-law" xDD I'll post the pictures up when I get my new portable hardrive...That would be in a month. ERIDAAAAN :DD

How cool! I wish there some other cons here in southern California besides the impossibility of San Diego Comic-con. I still really want to cosplay as Tron.
(Portable hard-drives are super useful, especially to back up your computer in case of explosions.)

Pretty much xD He's of no help in the latest chapters either, all he's there for is exposition now (though that's how it was in the anime too.)
By the way, I read the latest update. Oh God, Tavros is so cute about the ring xD I wouldn't have really expected him to like Vriska after all the things she did. Though maybe things have happened and I ended up skipping over that part. (I do know how they were mixed together into a sprite at one point, mainly because everyone made such a big deal over it even though it only lasted a few pages.)

Yeah, the Tavros/Vriska relationship has certainly been there before, whether in a healthy or unhealthy way is up to the interpretation. They've kissed each other, killed each other, gone searching for treasure together, and have otherwise loved/hated each other whenever they interact. Vriska is the one who paralyzed Tavros, after all. It's also really scary because that horse-world place is the same one Vriska walked through previously, where Andrew Hussie proposed to her. Basically the entire scene was a cut and paste. www.mspaintadventures.com/DOTA/Which is funny because John/Vriska looked like a thing at some point, and now John finds Tavros trying to propose to her, but in the end it was Hussie who did it (Vriska punches him in the face for it later). Weird paradox shit, bro.

The whole John/Vriska thing was an 'experiment' for Hussie. One of the MANY experiments he uses Vriska for, anyway. @_@ Gamzee/Tavros seems more popular than Vriska/Tavros on tumblr though.

So, um...
Anyone else finding the mapping of the Dream Bubbles a bit fallacious? I just sort of assumed that it would be some sort of fractal structure or a Penrose Staircase thing but on a larger and more complex scale... If mapping is possible, even with the damage being needed to spot it all, there would inevitably be patterns that the pre-scratch trolls could have noticed and used for navigating. Um, picture the changing stairways of Hogwarts (with each staircase being a memory), but on a massive scale and following a certain sequence. Even if it seems random, if something like that can in the end be mapped then they'd HAVE to have a pattern…
At first glance you guys kinda seem like you're more into the shipping stuff and roleplaying, but I figured it's worth a shot bringing something like this up in case anyone has a better take... I brought the issue up with my friend who is also Homestuck, but he only suggested that Vriska could be horribly wrong and that my taking her explanation as fact was a bit preemptive. I can't stop thinking about it, though.
I'm sorry if it's not proper to really discuss things here. Originally, I wanted to try making a memo to discuss it on Pesterchum but since you can't see posts from before when you entered it would be useless... so... yeah.

Of course you can discuss things here! It's just that Rieev hasn't read it all so for the most part it'd just be me brewing by myself (though I think Jack knows stuff too? Don't know how much you've actually read).
It was also awkward when I read your post and was utterly confused because it turned out I hadn't read the latest update. But now consider me informed!
Instead of thinking of it as a fractal (which is a pretty cool way of putting it) I had the idea that the dream bubbles were always in motion. And how the hell do you map something in constant motion out in the middle of somewhere that basically has no physics? The only answer I really have is that it's sort of like Schrodinger's cat. The furthest ring is completely unstable because no one can see it, and thus you can't tell whether it's dead/alive or in this case, kind of like the rule that you can never know both the velocity and position of an electron at the same time. Thus, by making the damage, you open Schrodinger's box and begin to cement things in place? But then that would mean that some sort of real physics is being brought into the furthest ring, and that's rather odd, at least from the point of view of the horrorterrors that I'm surprised haven't really fought back about this damage.
It's obviously going to be a big plot point for the future, at least from where I see it as an opportunity to find Calliope again, so I hope there's more time to flesh that out. Because yeah, it kinda sounds like a huge contradiction, not that Hussie is above using paradoxes to his advantage. I'd also say that for now, Vriska is pretty trustworthy about the maps, considering how much she always wants to leave her mark in the history of the game. And if anything, she stole it from a credible source, hearkening back to her being the Thief of Light.

Also, this panel makes me seriously think more and more about his connection to Lord English and his controlling of Kurloz and Meulin, because honestly it is starting to scare me shitless.
