"Hey, I'm glad enough my body got past day one. I think the friendship will be a lot easier to maintain," Shard replied happily. He noticed how weird is was to hear everyone settling in at the same time. "Um, good night I guess," he added.
Now this was going to be awkward.
After all, gargoyles sleep in the day because their turning to stone is activated, but otherwise they don't really do the close-your-eyes-and-sleep thing, and it's pretty much impossible to nap unless you had a light source bright enough to control. So while basically everyone was asleep, Shard would be wide awake in that darkness. He chose the side bed to lay on and positioned himself so he could look out of the cell. He'd be watching the Hellhounds tonight.

Puck didn't know why he even bothered trying to sleep- Sandmen sleep in the day, due to the all-nighters they pull helping everyone else get to bed. His sleeping habits got skewered over since he came to the Asylum, now all he really needs is four hours of sleep to get through the day. Turning over in his bed, he stared at Shard, noticing the Gargoyle was still awake.
'I wonder if he'll notice if I leave my bed...Sleep is for chumps anyway, I want to go play around.' Puck thought. He listened to the Hellhounds, and snickered at the memory of what happened yesterday. Who would have thought a bunch of vicious hounds would have been so gullible?
"Yo shard, I guess you really are a creature of the night. Nice to know I'm not the only one who can stay up long hours." Puck mumbled, keeping his voice low. Any louder and the Hellhounds will start barking at the cell. He didn't need Oberon confronting him now- the fairy was absolutely terrifying if you wake him up from his slumber.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah it's just second nature that way," Shard replied after having spaced out for some time. He wasn't expecting Puck to start talking again. "Up in the north, we'd only have an hour or even less of sunlight a day for the entire winter. Stonesleep always feels like an eternity, so you don't need much of it to recharge," he explained. "Though I used to have to eat all the time to keep up the energy to fly. It's not so important anymore, so this 24 hour darkness will be easier on me. Maybe I'll ask the doctors to trigger stonesleep for me when I start feeling really fatigued..." Near the end of his sentence he started to lower his voice and mumble the words to himself. It would be dangerous to ask such a request but it would be something he'd have to do eventually.

"Whoa- don't push your luck man, I would like at least one of my cellmates to last more than a few days or so!" Puck chuckled. He then sat up from his bed and stretched. He wasn't going to just sit there and have a simple chat- he needed action. And he knew just where to go. "Hey, I got a friend I want to say hi to- don't tell Obey that I left the cell, 'kay? I swear I'm not goanna do anything too heinous."
Not even waiting for an answer, Puck jumped up into the ceiling, phasing through the few floors upward. He made sure that whenever he made it to one floor, no Hellhounds were around to sniff him out. After another floor or two, he found his destination: Block C.
Not hoping to attract any Hellhounds, Puck only stuck out his head from the floor, the rest of his body hidden. "Now where's her cell again?" Puck mumbled, scanning the block carefully. He then spotted the name plate he was looking for. "Bingo." Puck snickered, going back down to the bottom floor before moving toward the spot where the room stood under.
Phasing through that point in the ceiling, he found himself in the very room he was looking for. "Hey, Lilli- you still awake?"

Lilli rolled over and cracked an eye open when she heard her name being called. "I am now. To what do I owe the pleasure of your company tonight Puck." She sat up and looked at the sand man running her fingers through her long hair to straighten it up a bit for the few minutes that she had been asleep.

"Awww- did I wake the little fairy from her nap?" Puck grinned, walking around her cell, "And why else do you think I'm here? I'm bored and I was hoping to hear if anything new happend around this block. Really the only things that happend that were remotely interesting was that I got a new cellmate. Shard's a pretty sweet guy, I hope he lasts long enough! There's also this really sweet ice demon chick who just moved into the cell in front of me! I tell ya', Lilli, you can't find eyes like hers. Oh, and there's also this little gremlin thing living with her, but she's not my type. And not to mention that Siren chick from Block D practically ripped apart another guard, I bet she's still with the doctors. Hey, you think any of those Hellhounds can sniff me in here?" Puck said the last sentence while peeking through the small, barred window of the door.

"Mmm, yeah yeah," Shard said absentmindedly as Puck floated away. He didn't want to let his mind start dwelling on anything potentially depressing, so he just didn't think of anything. He hadn't yet heard or seen a hound pass by. He hummed low and quietly to himself.

Yes you did wake me up....and as for interesting" She scratched her back were her wings would be it they were't bound by the suppressor, after all it itched sometimes, "The two mouthed woman was up here earlier after the fiasco in the cafeteria, she hit the wrong button on the elevator or something. She's kinda whiny, but she kinda reminds me of my younger sister. I also threw a fire ball into Bua's face today....that's pretty much it." She stretched and contemplated throwing a fire ball at Puck, but decided against it cause a disturbance and she didn't want Cerberus at her door. "And the hell hounds shouldn't bother you up here so long as you don't leave the room through the cell door....go back the way you came.

Puck suddenly turned around to look at Lilliana, "WHOA! Back track their, fire fair-" He suddenly got really close to her face, "Did you say two-mouthed woman!? Damn, does that sound hot! Tell me about her! Personality, hair, gender, boobs, Block level, crime. Start with boobs, go!"

"Okay.....She has no boobs that I could see, after all her kimono was pretty small, gender is female as indicated by what type of creature she is, green hair that's about 10 feet in length, whiny personality, Cell Block, and I'm not sure about her crime, she just kinda cried on me the entire time. Anything else about the female I know next to nothing about?" she sighed, still slightly peeved at being woken up.

"Hmm, so you didn't get a good look at her body. Guess I'll have to check that out myself. And you say hair that's over 10 feet long? Daamn- I don't think we had anyone like that around her. And whiny?" a perverse grin formed on Pucks face, "I like those types. How about her eyes? Are her eyes pretty? Though I doubt they'll beat my little Ayaka's sapphire pools of beauty! So, you think she'll be interested in me?"

"Her eyes are red...She's probably getting ripped to shreds by her cell mates by now for causing the fiasco that might have led to the Siren ripping a guard apart." She pulled her hair over her shoulder and continued to comb her fingers through her hair getting rid on any tangles.

"Cell block A, huh? Man, folks don't last too long in there- damn. I'll still check her out thought! If I save her, maybe she'll be willing to become my mate." Puck said, followed by a dirty laugh. Though Sandmen didn't need to mate actually- they are created by another Sandman with just sand and magic.
"But hey, I'm going back to my cell, Lilli, 'kay? But first," Puck phased through Lilliana's cell door and looked around the dark halls. He saw a Hellhound down the hall, sniffing the ground for any stray inmates. Grinning, Puck slowly floated forward, being quiet as possible. Reaching out, he took a hold of the Hellhound's stubby tail and pulled out, causing the canine to screech loudly. Puck let out a laugh before quickly phasing through the floor.
The Hellhounds on Block C started barking and growling loudly, attempting to find who caused the disturbance. Puck quickly phased his head through Lilliana's floor and grinned at her. "Night, Lilli!" And with that, Puck flew back down to his cell.

"That crazy sand man....but it defiantly makes this place more interesting" Lilli whispered, lying back down on her bed and fell asleep, tuning out the barking Hellhounds, after all, they were always making noise up here.

Shard didn't notice Puck float back in, his eyes still looking out to the passageway in between the cells. He wasn't tired, but damn was he bored out of his skull.
