"Sandy, screaming like a little girl. I'll remember this" Laughing, it took him a few seconds before coming down again. "Oh I am so remembering this..."

Sandman fears water. Useful information.
Emim let her hand fall to her side as the sandman flew around the ceiling screaming. Noisy, always noisy.

Meela had stayed quiet during the entire exchange, planning and thinking over what Puck had said. Most ships in this area used the same Leviathan piloting system, which was based off of her own Zephyr flight controls. But, if they were using the Kraken system, it'd be a bit harder to operate. Plus, she still had to figure out how to hide Shard's wings, and find a place large enough to allow him to practice flying. Puck's shrill squawking at Ayaka's icy blast pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Well Pucky-boy, if it has a steerin' column, I can pilot it. Now then, I'll just needta do a bit of explorin' in order ta figger out how ta get all my materials together. I got my little knife that I stole offa one of the guards, but I'll need more tools. Do ya know if the airvents have cameras built inta them?"

After a minute or so, Puck finally calmed down and stayed afloat near Midori. Crossing his legs and arms, he pouted. ""You guys are a buncha jerks.
Midori could only giggle and playfully pat his back. Meela started talking to Puck about what she needed, and when she asked about cameras Puck started thinking. "Cameras in the air ducts huh...You know, I never thought about that. I also phase through junk so I don't worry about using any secret passages." Puck shrugged, "You could try and see for yourself. But I got to tell you, the mannequins in charge of the cameras never miss a thing."
Puck's body uncharacteristically shivered, "Those damn mannequins. I should tell you about them too. They're problems. They're like the Head's little bitches, his minions. They're not alive either. And I don't mean in an undead sort of way- they don't have a consciousness, a mind. You could say they're robots, but damn even robots have more emotion than they do. They have a bunch of freaky abilities- they can teleport and they can even tell when someone's lyin'. The medical mannequins, the Nurses, are the worst. They're equipped with things like syringe needles or scalpels, not good. I don't know what they're like when they're provoked, but I bet it ain't pretty."
Midori tilted her head to the side, "But all we'll have to do is avoid them right? It can't be that hard!"
Puck sighed, "You think that, but those damn mannequins are everywhere, sweetheart. If the Head Hunters or the Guards don't get you, surely they will. On the other hand, they are easy to keep track off because they always follow a routine unless some higher up tells them otherwise. I bet that if we learn about the routines of the mannequins in the camera room we can figure out how to sneak past them. Also, Cherry, I bet there are several scraps of metal lying around the bottom of the Asylum, within in the Medical Ward. Not to mention the Children's Ward probably has some scraps you could use. Little bastards are freaky as hell though."
"So I guess the rest of us just have to keep a look out for now..."
"I would like it if you guys could gather some supplies like rope or flashlights. Harris, Green- since you both are from Block A you're not under heavy security like the rest of us. Why don't you guys visit the Children's Ward and try to find something? Shard and Ayaka, and Harris you again, are working as a Disposers, so you guys get to search the Medical Ward. The doctors must have something. Meela, I'll need your help with the keys and junk. Emim and Moort, search the outside. I'll talk to Lilli about the exits in Block C. You understand your jobs, my chess pieces?"

Ayaka sighed as Puck finished giving out the instructions to the group of people. "I guess, but I think I will take my leave now. I will see you all later." And with that she walked over to door, walked around the sleeping guard, and towards the elevator to go back to her cell block. She yawned as we walked up to the elevator doors, after all it had been a long day.

Shard loosened up for the first time since the meeting started when Ayaka chilled Puck and sent him flying. If they ever needed to keep him in check (a-ha, a chess pun!) he'd have to remember to carry around a bucket. "Well, I don't know if my job as a disposer is going to be reliable. I had a different job today, and I don't even remember what it was. But otherwise, I'll see what I can muster."
Moortimier listened as Puck rattled off loads of information, most of it useless to what he had to do. His job was by far the easiest of the lot, and the one with the least amount of extra effort. He calculated that he wouldn't end up collateral until the very end of the escape took place, and by then who knows? Hijacking a boat couldn't be that hard. "Your king's castle reports for duty," he mock-saluted. "May our sorry asses make like a tree and leaf." His attitude could have been mistaken for giddiness.

"Attention all Guards, Sleeping Time is approaching. All inmates must be in their cells within 30 Minutes. I repeat, all inmates not in operation must be in their cells in 30 minutes. Inmates found outside their respective cells after time is up will be dealt with personally."

Puck titled his head and smirked at Moort's snark. "Well, well well- if even Moorty here agrees then I must be a really good chess player."
"Oh, I hope this works! I can finally go home again. I hate this place so much and it's only been 3 days. I can only imagine how it must feel for those who've been here longer!" Midori cried, a beaming smile on her face.
As she spoke, Puck was already floating toward the cell door. He phased through the metal and looked at Vann. The guard was sleeping like a cave dragon. Snickering, Puck phased back into the cell and grinned at his 'pieces.' "Alright, folks- let's get this started. Operation: Explore the Asylum, COMMENCE! Bye bye." Puck flew through the door, but before he left the Pit he playfully smacked Vann on the head.
"Wakey-wakey, you little mother-fucker! Haha," Puck let out an obnoxious laugh to make his presence known before swooping up into the air and out of the Pit.

Midori, who was still inside Emim's cell, stared at the door. "...Huh...I-I guess I'll be going too. Harris, want to walk back to Block A with me?...And open the door too? I don't think I can pull it." Midori asked the lycan as she stood up and straightened out her kimono. She tried her best to not cry at how dirty the fabric had become.

Shard narrowed his eyes at the place Puck phased through and left. "Bastard's my cellmate and doesn't have the decency to wait up," he said, throwing his hands up when he said it. "But at least if someone's waiting for him I won't have to deal with it..." he muttered.
"I can get the door for you there Midori," Moortimier said, continuing his high respect for her. Though she was naive, she sat well with Moort's temperament for some reason. Same as Habhara, now that he thought of it. Ah! Now would be just the time to see that Gaz had been lying all this time. Just wait and see!
Moort opened the door with ease, extending one of his roots to do so. "You guys better scram out here, the Pit's no place for wanderers at this time of night. Blood likes to drip downwards," he said as creepily as he could, though only being half-serious and half-metaphorical.
"You comin' along, Meela?" Shard said as he took a step towards the door.

Finally he leaves.
Odd how she seemed to be able to speak while still humming. Her tune sounded almost like clockwork, changing after the announcement that there was half an hour before lights out.
Emim decided she didn't like the noisy little sandman. He knocked out her guard, entered her home, then had the gall to call her a chess piece. She was not a thing.
Emim's eyes shifted to the tree golem holding the door to her cell open, but she said nothing, waiting for the others to leave.

'I don't like this at all. Puck's planning something, this is starting to sound almost too smooth, too rehearsed... But what is it? Screw it, even if something's up, there's a 63% chance that I may find my own way to escape this place.' Meela hopped over to Shard and swiftly climbed onto his shoulder. Her bruises had healed themselves during the course of the group's clandestine meeting, giving her a full range of motion once again.
"Yeah, I'm here Shard! Lezzgo! We've got lotsa things to talk about!" She looked over her shoulder and smiled up at Emim. "Thanks for lettin' us meet here, Miss Emim! G'night!

"Whelp, since we're all done and pretty - Guess it's 'bout time to get some sleep." With a yawn, Harris walked out the door, waving behind him, making his way to his cell.

As soon as Meela hopped back onto his shoulders, Shard was on his way out. "Yeah, we better go make sure the stuff you found is still where you left it," he replied. They headed up the stairs and towards the elevator, crossing paths with Gaz as he stepped out and nearly walked into them.
"Hey, watch yourselves!" he said as he sidestepped, chains jangling from the sudden movement. "The last thing I need's my arm falling out of my socket." And he continued on his way, not waiting for a response. Shard sort of looked at him confused until the elevator doors closed. "Who the hell was that?"

Midori walked out of the cell with Harris and waved at her fellow Cellmates. "Good night Emim, Moortimier! See you tomorrow."

The inmates have formulated a plan to escape the Asylum. The board is set up and the pieces are set, but will they be successful? Only if they play themselves right.
Part 1:Design Complete. Move on to Part 2: Gather.
