Moortimier took his familiar spot at the shoreline, picking at debris as usual. With the unrest today involving the Pit members, an occurrence that in all honesty was rather rare, Moort was left somewhat disconcerted. And especially the way Puck's group was acting...he rather regretted leaving the cafeteria early and having missed whatever went down. Shame, really.
He wondered what they might do if they really could escape. Not that he cared for being a part of it. The island being completely surrounded by ocean, and his size too large to make it very far, left him at a disadvantage. It wasn't so bad here though, as long as he got to work outside it was satisfaction enough.

The giant looked to the sky at the being yelling at her. Rude. Oh well. She turned from the waves and walked to the forest. At her full height and with full pace she was deep within it in moments. The forest was dark and thick and constricting. The nephilim's brow furrowed in annoyance as tree branches slapped her in the face.
The song stopped.
Emim continued on, being hit despite her arms held before her. She began to shake.
And then the air shook with an enraged roar, causing a mass flight of birds.
Emim snarled, kicking out at the base of the last tree to strike her. Her foot smashed through the wood with little resistance, sending most of the tree flying twenty feet through the air. She spun and lashed out again. Within seconds, six trees had fallen.
And the song began again. Emim spotted what looked like a dead elk and walked over to pick it up.

Dr. Bloodroot used a stair case specifically for staff members that lead to a dark storage room and left the building through a hidden exit in the wall. "I will have to erase your memory at the end of the day using a few pores since you've seen this exit, but don't worry- the side effects are only hallucinations and slight diarrhea." She told Shard rather bluntly as she moved through the thick forest.
She walked over to one of the bushes and pushed through them. Behind the bushes were several branches of Nightshades. Dr. Bloodroot started picking off the berries, flowers, and leaves and putting them in the basket that Shard was carrying. "These are Atropa belladonna, also known as a Deadly Nightshade. They may be toxic but they are excellant pain relievers. You see, my main job is to make medicines and anesthesias, though it's safe to assume you figured that out already."

Memory erasing? Ah shit why'd he have to go and jinx it? "Will, uh, the memory of my entire day be erased, or just this moment?" He was a little worried, but maybe if he forgot what happened at the cafeteria today...no that wouldn't be so bad, but if he tried his hardest to remember this pathway then he could leave by himself without Puck's map.
Shard stopped at the doorway and cautiously, ever so cautiously, looked outside for sunlight. The exit released out to a large, dark forest, bright enough to see but not enough to turn him to stone. He sighed in relief. "Sorry, had to check for the sun. I'm a gargoyle you see, and it'd be embarrassing to have to wheel me back inside to wake me up from stonesleep," he half-spoke and half-muttered, wondering whether this doctor was the conversing type.
"Wow, these all look pretty cool," he said, as the collection of plants increased. "How do you remove the toxicity?"

"It's actually the poison of the Atropa belladonna that makes it so usable. I of course have to do some test runs to find out which species is susceptible to its effects, but that's probably the fun part of my job aside from taking care of the plants. I think this is enough supply for now." Bloodroot sat up and began walking again.
"Next up, Aconitum- also known as Wolfsbane." She ventured deeper into the trees and bushes until she came across branches of beautiful yet oddly shaped purple flowers. "We mainly use this in our medicine known as Imperium. We use it to keep certain inmates under control, such as Werewolves when under the influence of the full moon or Vampires who are craving blood." She started picking the flowers and placed them into one of Shard's baskets.
"I find it nice to be able to go outside. The Asylum can get pretty stuffy and the Doctors' quarters always smells weird. I'm sorry if it seems like I just like hearing myself speak- I don't get to talk to many others since I'm always with my plants. But they always seem to enjoy my company and I enjoy theirs, so it's not too bad."

"Yeah I agree," he replied, surprised to see how soft-spoken this doctor was. Hearing her talk about her plants had a soothing effect on Shard. "When I got here, someone told me it was really lucky I had my wings broken off before I got here, and now I can see why. If I wasn't let outside to fly I'd probably be dead in no time," he chuckled, though he felt a little bit of pain not being able to fly now that he could go outside. He shifted the baskets to prevent his arms from getting sore.

"I've noticed. It's very strange to see a Gargoyle without wings. We actually have a few Gargoyle guards here, but they only show up at night, naturally." Dr. Bloodroot pointed her vine-like arms to the Asylum tower. "If you look at certain points of the tower, you can see them standing guard, stone and all. Who knows, you'll probably recognize some of them."
She placed the last of the wolfsbane flowers into Shard's basket. Letting out an accomplished sigh, she flipped open the box-shaped carrier she had slung around her and slipped her vines in. The vine wrapped around a jar containing some seeds with the label "Wolfsbane" on it and then put it aside. She then reached back in to take out the gardening tools.
"Now it's time to plant new sisters for you, my sweethearts. Make sure to take care of them, and make sure they sprout to be beautiful flowers just like you." Dr. Bloodroot cooed as she prepared the soil.

Whoever had decided a ten foot tall giant should walk through a forest was a right bastard. Emim stood now in her makeshift clearing, bits of tree still stuck in her hair and a frown on her face. She was still humming, but the tune was now rather erratic and off tone. One the plus side, however, she had made excellent progress with her job. In a rather larger pile in the clearing now sat three carcasses, as well as what appeared to be a chunk of stone wall. There was still some left from whatever building had once been there before being reclaimed by the forest, a rather unexpected find to say the least. Even Emim could only carry so much rubble at once, though, mostly due to the old stone crumbling. Which meant more traveling through the trees.

Hours flew by as the inmates worked at their jobs. It is now around 7:30 PM and those who have been working hard have become weary.
"ATTENTION. ATTENTION. IT IS SEVEN-THIRTY. SHIFTS ARE COMING TO A CLOSE. ALL GUARDS MUST LOOK OVER THEIR INMATE'S WORK AND MAKE THEIR APPROVAL. ONCE AGAIN, IT IS SEVENT-THIRTY. ALL SHIFTS ARE COMING TO A CLOSE."

After hours of gathering and planting, Dr.Bloodroot had stuffed both of Shard's baskets to the brim with different herbs and flowers. The two of them spent most of the day making small chit-chat. It was always a surprise to everyone how kind and easy-going she was for one of the more dangerous doctos in the Asylum.
"I apologize for taking so much time," Dr. Bloodroot said as she walked back with Shard to the door they used as an exit. Sealing the door shut and entering the elevator, the two creatures were back on the Operating Room floor in no less than 10 minutes.

Raptor flew around the island, ordering the other guards on watch to gather the Pit patients and line them up near the entrance. Since the Pit members were to large to use for the elevators, a special entrance was made that went from the outside to directly down the Pit.
Raptor flew around one more time, now accompanied by 5 other flying guards, in order to make sure all the inmates did their job. "Seems like the giant white haired chick had fun," Raptor muttered as he stared at the destroyed trees.
"She's been here for a while, so you get used to it." commented a harpy guard, who just shrugged at the sight, "at least she's very useful in clearing the land."
"I guess that's one way of looking at it." Raptor said before flying back to where the Pit inmates were lined up. "Alright," he took out a remote from his his belt and pressed one of the buttons. The large doors used for the Pit inmates slowly slid open.
"Good work today, now get back inside before the poltergeists get through! You have 2 hours and 30 minutes to do whatever you have to do!"

Moortimier stood by, waiting for the inspection to be done, as usual. He went back down to the Pit without a word, feeling a little more sluggish than usual since it had been somewhat cloudy during the day.

Emim looked up from her mount of flesh, wood, and stone to see some of the flying guards performing their inspection. She narrowed her eyes, focusing in on the pack. The yelling guard was there. He yelled again, sounding his announcement that the inmates were to head back inside. He liked yelling. He was annoying. Oh well. Emim just wanted to get out of the forest.
She looked to the east. The tower was outside of the forest. She could see the tower. Emim quickly judged the distance and leapt into the air, her loose clothing billowing behind her as she sped over the forest. She landed on flat earth with a muffled thud, causing those near her to stumble from her impact tremor.
And then she stood and calmly walked back into the pit, humming the whole way. Her tune paused once as she caught a quick glimpse of the sea. But only the once.

"Attention all Guards, Sleeping Time is approaching. All inmates must be in their cells within 30 Minutes. I repeat, all inmates not in operation must be in their cells in 30 minutes. Inmates found outside their respective cells after time is up will be dealt with personally."

Hours passed by. For once in a while, the entire Asylum is quiet, minus the snarls of the Hellhounds and the night guards standing watch both inside and out of the building.
